Instruction Overview
Flight training essentially has two components, practice and theory.
 •
The practical component involves the hands-on experience you gain with the aircraft.
The theoretical involves reading and understanding the material covered in the Ground School Kit Manuals. This material explains the principles of basic aviation science and standard operating procedures. Most of what you learn in theory is applied in the practical sense and it is necessary from two standpoints. First, it makes you a more knowledgeable aviator. This alone should be reason enough but secondly and just as important, you will need the knowledge you have studied for to pass the FAA written exam. The  final testing component is the practical flight test or commonly referred to as the "check-ride". It will be administered by the designated  Sport Pilot Examiner. So to recap, in order to gain your certificate, the student will have to pass two (2) examinations: The written Sport Pilot Knowledge exam and the practical check-ride exam.

Your first flight with the aircraft will begin by introducing and familiarizing you with the airplanes exterior and interior components and their function. You will begin to learn from day one how to perform the all important PRE-FLIGHT inspection of the aircraft. After a successful pre-flight inspection, you will be able to concentrate on the flight itself. Once we begin taking to the air you will be briefed extensively throughout your training on the use of the instrument gauges, flight controls, and  general operation of the T211. A typical lesson will have a minimal set of tasks and objectives to be understood by the student. These tasks will have associated maneuvers that will be executed several times during the course of the lesson until the instructor is satisfied with the progress made by the student towards each lesson task. Your flight training is outlined in detail in the Ground School Training Kit Syllabus. Please refer to the book for complete information.

If you decided to pursue your dream, one of your first ground school assignments would be to familiarize yourself with the airplanes Features,  Specifications and Performance figures given here .
